"J-Tree"

The beauty and vastness of the desert always overwhelms me. on a recent trip i took with my girlfriend to her parents house in La Quinta, Ca., i was reminded of two very different types of desert life. on one hand you have human suburb/city life(green lawns, massive strip malls, massive water features, faked oases, cookie cutter complexes) and on the other you have the plant animal life(natural, wild, but still visibly touched by man) of the preserved lands within Joshua Tree National Park... here are some pictures of the Cholla Cactus Field in the park and other random stuff from the week..
